I put this in the 7 pin on my vehicle, and when I plug the 4 pin in it works. Seems to be durable enough and hasn't broken while being used in a commercial environment. My vehicle has a 7 pin that frequently gets ice build up and this worked regardless. Should be fine for most people.

I like that the adapter has covers for when it’s not in use. In my case, it’s in use a lot. My trailers are all 7 prong, however I do have one of those LED light bars for the back that show my signal and brake lights and plug into a 4 (or 5) wire plug. This is the perfect addition to that. It seems well made, and is borderline cheaper, but definitely easier than me wiring up a 7 prong plug. This also comes in handy if I borrow anyone else’s trailer. I also love that it came with the wiring chart.I didn't disassemble it, but the two unused pins are blank, so you can't hook your own wires up to them.Quality seems good, and overall great value

Got this for when I tow trailers for others. Fit my Tacoma factory plug and only had a 4 pin trailer to try it on. Worked fine. Assuming the 5 pin works as well. Convenient to have in the truck for when needed rather than those messy 4 and 5 pin add on ones that always manage to dangle under the truck.

Great price, and equally great adapter. Fits firmly into my truck, and powers both my smaller 4 pin trailers and larger 5 pin trailer. Can easily pay double this or more for these adapters.

My truck has factory installed trailer powering ports in the 4 and 7 pin configurations. A recent boat and trailer purchase had me scrambling when I found it had a 5 pin plug. This adapter has all of that covered when plugging into the 7 pin port. It has 2 separate weather protective covers to help keep corrosion from affecting your connection while using either the 4 or 5 pin plug. Just what I needed.

I really like this plug. It is designed for trucks that have the trailer brake option. Having the ability for 4 or 5 connector trailer connectors in 1 plug is great. I now only have to carry 1 plug in my truck. I recommend it.

First impressions: I didn't expect much based on the price, but boy was I surprised. It feels solid and well made. When inserted into the trucks trailer plug, it inserts easily, and holds without any wobble or jiggle. Hopefully it will not loosen during use. My trailer is currently being used by a relative, and I won't get a chance to hook it up for a month or so. I will update this review if there are any issues. I love that this has BOTH 4 and 5 flat blade adapters, as most I have seen only have one or the other. This is much more useful if you have multiple trailers with different plugs, or you borrow or rent trailers occasionally. For the price, it's a bargain!

I have 4 trailers, some have brakes (RV style 7 pin plug) and some are only lights (4 pin plug). This plug also has the 5 pin which is used on some horse trailers.

I have several different trailers that I pull for a variety of vehicles / watercraft that I own. I had 2 adapters in my center console, one 4 and one 5 pin version. This lets me keep just one.Well-built and solid, and I like that you can cover either one, or both outlets with the attached covers.Super value for a much-needed accessory.

Got a Tesla Model Y with the tow package to pull a small flat bed trailer here or there, motorcycle trailer, tow quads, etc... Was surprised to find a 7 pin connector. What kinda trailer they thinkin' people are gonna tow with this?Anyway, usually only need a 4-pin connector, but when this model showed both a 4-pin and 5-pin option I decided to give it a try. Fits in the tight fit of the cut out in the bumper. Build quality of the unit is solid. More of a durable rubbery type material, not a plastic that feels like it will chip or crack in cold conditions of if dropped or throw around.Compact and easy to use. Easy to stow and go.
