Heavy duty hole hole saw cutters for projects

Sink drainage, Plumbing, Electrical installation, Automotive repair, HVAC installations, DIY projects around the home or workshop where clean and accurate holes are needed.

Carbide Tipped Hole Saw cutters can be used for a variety of applications

  • The recommended rotary speed for a TCT hole saw cutter depends on the material you are cutting through.
  • Softer and thinner materials such as wood or plastic require higher rotational speeds, while harder and thicker materials such as metals require lower speeds.
  • For drilling through metals, it is recommended to start at a lower speed, around 150-200 RPM, and gradually increase speed as needed.
  • When drilling through softer materials like wood or plastic, a faster rotational speed of around 500-600 RPM is recommended.
  • Additionally, starting at a lower speed and gradually increasing can help prevent breakage and prolong the life of the TCT hole saw cutter.

I bought this to try on wood. I was using 1/2” rosewood. The first hole drilled through like butter I couldn’t believe how fast it made the hole compared to other circular bits. On my second hole the pilot drill bit snapped in half. I don’t know how or why. I was coming in at a perfect 90 degrees. I contacted Amazon and they wanted me to send the entire box back. I tried explaining I just needed the pilot bit. I couldn’t get them to understand. However, after some back and forth they sent me an entire new box without having to return the first box. I thought that was very generous of them. I just wanted a simple bit not a whole new set. But that’s how it played out.In the description of the product, wood is listed as one of the materials it can be used on. I don’t know if I just got a weak bit or what. But the cutting through wood was utterly amazing. I mean it was maybe a second of drilling and I had a perfect hole on both sides with no tear out. Not sure when my next hole cut will be but I hope it cuts as amazing as it did. I’ll keep an eye on the pilot bits for any type of strain. I may see if I can replace them with high end bits to avoid a repeat. So 5 stars due to the customer service and the ease of cutting through wood. Hopefully the pilot bit was a fluke.

Needed Annular Cutters... Looked everywhere... (ok, maybe just MANYWHERE and for sure the big three ($$$) tool suppliers) ... I am a self-admitted tool snob. I don't mind paying for what I want but found these and thought I would try them. They looked well-made in the ad pics and were much less cost than the big three... On arrival, initial out of the box inspection quality matched the ad pics and they were packaged pretty decently. The real meat and potatoes however is in the Carbide cutter faces and let’s be honest, at the price for the 4 cutter set, my expectations were not over the top... I just needed 8 holes each from two cutters. The Project was 16 holes in 1/2 inch 1018 plate, 1" and 3/4". Half I cut with a 1/8 inch pilot and half just center punched. These cut like butter. They struggled a little with the last 1/32 inch at the full 1/2 inch depth, but I think it was the Center plug ejection spring bottoming out. Squeezed a little harder in the press to complete the cuts. To my surprise, the last hole still cut like butter. On completion, I inspected all the carbide cutter faces. All still sharp and pristine... That was very unexpected as I forgot to lock the table and had some chatter going on with some of these cuts. I expected some (my fault) chipped carbide, but Gents/Ladies... Nothing. Edges still looked fantastic to the eyes, pristine, and sharp for all faces… Overall, I was happy with these, especially now that I've used them. I wouldn't hesitate at all to purchase these again.

I was pleased with how well the hole saw cut through the metal purlins. The problem was the pilot bit broke 2 times. I only need one size hole saw but ordered the 4 piece set. Glad I did so I could finish my project.
