Got the job done but this hole saw is massive. If you need a Big hole through real thick concrete then this is your tool. Lord forbid you run into rebar though I could only imagine..

I needed to core drill five holes through my 5” garage slab to run five 1-1/2” pipes through 2” sleeves for a master manifold to work my CoOp, house, well, sprinkler and purge water within a less exposed space. I rented an industrial core drilling tool with a massive and expensive bit. As soon as the core bit contacted rebar, it self-destructed. Before they could get in a special order replacement bit, I ordered, received, and finished the first then the other four holes, with this relatively cheap bit. We got it done !

I got this pretty much for one reason, drilling out 4" holes in foundations for installing radon mitigation fans. Which is pretty much why I wanted a wet bit, a dry bit makes too much dust, especially in someone's home they're actually living in. Dry might be ok for a construction site, but for what I'm doing, wet is definitely the wtg.You will need an 1 1/4"-7 arbor for this bit, "normal" hole saw arbors will not work with this. Amazon sells a few different ones if you need one, I suggest ordering one with the bit.I found the quality of this bit to be exceptional. Perfectly balanced and a very aggressive cutter. And quite a bit cheaper than some comparable bits. If you happen to need a diamond core bit of exceptional length and quality, this is an excellent bit that is beautifully made.Bit of advice if you need to be precise about your hole placement - this is 14" long, so obviously it has no pilot bit. You're best off to get your hole started with a shorter hole saw with a pilot bit. The pilot bit will allow you to hit your center point exactly, which is tough to do if your bit doesn't have a pilot bit. Get the hole started with your "shallow" hole saw, then switch to this bit to go to the depth you need.Very recommended. 5 stars.
