Bought these for bench seat storage. They worked great and feel strong. Used 1/2 ply to build the bench and used 1/2 ply for the lid. Worked great

Would have been nice if the screws were included but I ended up using #8 x 5/8 black oxide screws to complete the pieces.

I ordered the 18” matte black piano hinges. They do not include screws. Luckily I had some black #8 3/4” truss head screws on hand which worked well for my application. Just wanted to include that information since I didn’t see a screw size in the listing or in the other reviews. The screw holes are not really beveled, so I wouldn’t expect to be able to set them flush. I’m pleased with the product.

I used these to add a two-step staircase to the back porch. Now I can flip the stairs up to mow beneath. It supports the weight of people stepping on and off of the porch/stairs. And they have a perfectly low profile so one will not trip on the hinge.

The hinges look nice and sturdy, but I didn't find any black screws in the package. I had to go back and check the description. It didn't *say* the hinges came without screws, but neither did it point out that they had to be purchased separately. More irritating is that there was no indication of what size screws to get. So, I should just check my inventory of matte black screws and find the one that fits best? Frustrating. I wanted to install these hinges first thing in the morning, but I'll need to spend that time looking for black screws of the correct size. If I knew the size, I could buy them on Amazon. I guess I'll just have to guess. Just looking at them, I'm thinking #6 might be the right size...
