How to adjust the tension
Simple installation and easy adjustment
1. Keep the door closed, use the wrench insert into the hole which is upper of the hinge
2. Rotate it to the left for tension adjustment, insert the pin into the hole on the top to fix the position

Tension adjustment hole at the upper, use the Allen wrench to adjust the tension.
Tension fixing hole on the top, use the pin to fix the position.

I installed these hinges on an outside door. They have decent closing strength and work as you'd expect. If I leave the door barely ajar, my dog can push his way inside and the door will fully close behind him. You may want to use your own screws if the provided screws are not long enough for your particular frame.

I install only one of these hinges on a door that I was always leaving open. Now the door closes itself from fully open to complete latch engagement.

It ended up not fitting my door and I wasn’t able to adjust it being that it’s an apartment and how the door it built but I will keep them in case I ever need them in the future

We leave the door unlatched so our dogs can come and go but I have had no luck teaching them to close the door after. This hinge does exactly what I wanted and the tension adjustment allows the door to close but not latch and no dogs paws get hurt in the process.

I put these self closing hinges on the doors leading to my basement and garage to ensure they stay closed. I have grandchildren visiting often and this gives me peace of mind that one of the little one's won't get hurt on the stairs when one of the bigger one's forgets to close a door. For the garage this also helped tremendously with keeping pesky flying bugs out of the house.Easy to install, the only tricky part is using the tools to tighten the spring to the right amount for your tastes on how quickly and firmly you want the door to shut. You may need to make a few adjustments over time to get it perfect. The included instructions are easy to follow, but there are also lots of online tutorials if you have trouble figuring out how to place the pins. I added a kick-down prop to the basement door so that I can hold it open for myself when moving things in and out of the basement.
