Seriously, just buy the whole assembly. Just the heater in the base of it from a repair site will cost more than buying the whole thing here. If you replace it, you won't have issues with it for the remaining life of your fridge.

Came with several wiring adapters (none of which I needed). Remember to save wire (which shuts off ice maker when ice container full) from old ice maker. For OEM price was reasonable compared to non-OEM parts. Wish I had replaced two years ago.

Fits kenmore elite freezer but inhad to take the water intake off my old ice maker to adapt it.Works great now. Has multiple wires to connect to other models too

I have been dealing with a leaking ice maker for years in a 2005 whirlpool thinking it wasn’t worth it to have the repair/installation cost on such an old refrigerator/ freezer. Finally decided to watch a YouTube video on how to install a replacement ice maker. Looked easy so I decided to try it. (I had previously purchased the 1/4” nut driver to replace a heating element.) Within 30 minutes I had removed the old leaking unit and installed this one. After the unit cooled down it started making perfect ice. This is a perfect replacement for my old whirlpool! So easy!!!

Easy to install and works great! I even installed it myself! It doesn't come with the ice level metal arm so make sure to keep your old one to use it with this.

I bought this in aug 2024. Never really worked as good as old did, that I had for years. It took too long to fill the ice container, but thought nothing is good as the old. Well it has quit working now in November and I’m outside the return window. What a piece of junk.
