I put these in the ferns in my living room. They have worked very well. The soil remains slightly damp if you dig down. the surface is dry. I was told that the wet soil on top is what was triggering my sensitivity to the ferns. Now that the soil is dry on top and damp below the surface, I can sit right next to one of the ferns without having a sneezing fit. Usage is easy. Fill the globe. Stab it into the soil. I put them rather deep so the water is down inside the soild.

I love that these are plastic due to my wife always breaking things. The smokey color is a nice touch and they do not over water the plant. So far so good!

It doesn't work too well with dense roots...the cut/slant end gets clogged with roots and won't supply water. It's easy to use...if it's hard to push in soil I rotate it as I push and that helps

I was looking for watering globes that weren’t glass to use in my outdoor hanging baskets. These work well. I only have 4 stars because the holes are pretty small and a little hard to get water into.

I use these globes for my indoor plants and they work perfectly as advertised. Very functional and large enough to need very little maintenance and attention; water slowly drips and doesn't required to be filled often. I have it in place for about 5 days and the water barley went down in the globe, but interestingly my plant is thriving; this plant typically requires frequent watering and droops if not watered for a few days. The globes looks modern and clean which compliments the plant's appearance. The quality of the materials and build of the globes do not look like it will fall apart anytime soon. The plastic is sturdy and well-made.

Definitely make sure you look at the measurements for this item, it is not tiny it is quite large so if you want to use this for indoor plants, it might be hard to hide if you want to be discrete with the items. This item is shatterproof and the material is more plastic and not glass. Easy to use and refill for the plants.

I was going on a 2 week trip and wanted to come home to living plants. I ordered these self-watering globes to try them out. There is nothing fancy about these globes. They are practical and do the job as intended. I must say that my basil plants love getting watered at the root. Another great thing is no gnats! The globes have a generous capacity and easily supply enough water to keep my plants happy and growing. They are made from plastic and are filled easily from the faucet. I initially made a hole in the soil to insert the globe stem in the soil without plugging the stem with dirt. They do the job and my plants are happy.

To fill these, I placed them into a pot of water with the bulb side facing down and the opening on top, slightly tilted. It took a few minutes to fill and I was ready to use them. I have these plants that are on the side of my house that do not get much water as no irrigation exists there. It seems to work well as after 3 days, it was still half full. I am happy with this product. It saved me from hauling a heavy canister onto the side of my property just to water my plants.
