I’m glad to have these bulbs in the clear crystal form. Because it makes it easier to see the water level. The ones I have been using are colored, some with even dark coloring, and it’s very hard to see the water level.So this will compensate for my poor eyesight. They are fragile so handle with care.

I recently ordered these for the plants at work, particularly a peace lily. The quality of the globes is really lovely, they are definitely on the larger side, but with collapsible funnel included, easy to fill with water. I put one in the peace lily, filled the globe with water as instructed, and the globe was empty within 10 minutes. I'm no expert with houseplants, and I guess the plant was dry, because I filled the globe again, and again it was empty within 10 minutes. After that, I watered the plant, re-filled the globe, and again, the water went right to the plant and didn't slowly disperse into the soil. I'm not sure what I did wrong, this could definitely be user error, but while the globe is a nice quality (there are two), I'm now not using it until I figure out exactly *how* to use it!

I can get busy and forget my plants exist. My pets can get my attention when they have needs, but my poor plants suffer when I get busy, so I got them these globes and a special light to help them thrive, too. They’re easy to use—just fill them with water – it is easy with or without the nice silicone collapsible funnel!

I have many plants, both inside and outside. My neighbor waters the outside ones when we're out of town but I've usually left the inside ones to fend for themselves or take them to a friend's house, which is a real hassle. The watering globes will solve that issue. The globes are a nice size for my plants. I especially like that I can refill them from the top using the handy enclosed funnel instead of having to pull the globe out to fill with water like many other globes I've seen. There's also a plug for the refill hole. There's a very slight luster to the glass. Overall, a nice and reasonably priced solution for plant care.

I have a lot of plants, most of which do not require frequent watering. But a few, such as my African violets, are best to keep moist. Those plants must be watered either from the bottom or directly into the soil without getting the leaves wet. (Water on African violet leaves causes spots.) Watering from the bottom isn't a great idea with these because like most plants they don't like "wet feet."That's where these globes come in. Each globe is a simple device that you insert into the soil. It's made of glass and the globe has an iridescent look to it that's quite nice. The top is a round globe. A collapsible rubbery funnel is provided, which makes it easier to fill the globe.The product photos show that each globe has a translucent neck: Mine do not have this; they have a slight lip instead. But with the funnel it isn't an issue.If you have a lot of plants this is a handy device to have on hand.It came boxed and my only gripe is that the globes were protected with Styrofoam. For lots of reasons, I wish the manufacturer would find a better option.Other than that this is a very good product: Recommended.
