No more fighting return springs. This tool holds everything in place so you can remove the anchor bolt and easily relax the return spring. This makes one of the hardest parts of Valvetronic repairs, like eccentric shaft replacement, much easier.Everything on the tool operates as expected. No issues were noticed during this N20 repair. Works like factory!

This tool looks way better than I was expecting. The cosmetics of a tool don’t really matter, but along with those cosmetics come good-quality plating, finishing, and material selection. Each of those do matter for a tool like this. The machining is a bit rough in places, but not in a way that affects function or is atypical for a tool like this. It’s on par with lower-end name-brand service tools. There’s very little slop or free play, and the handles are long and stiff enough to allow precision work. I haven’t used this on an engine yet, so I can’t comment on the actual design and function. I’ll update this review when I do need to do some valvetronic work. The case is thick and sturdy enough that it can probably handle a few drops and being kicked around a garage floor a few times. It seems to be just a little bigger than it really needs to be, but it holds the tool well. The price is impressive for a specialty tool this solid and with this many parts. I’d recommend it so far.
