These were difficult for us to keep all the straps up and on his feet tried them once and they didn't work as good as I was hoping.

There are a few things about these skates that I wanted to touch on:First- The set that I received only had 1 strap per skate and did not include hook and loop tape, which I didn't discover until arriving at the rink. I opened the package, checked out the skates (thought they seemed like a nifty product), put them in our skate bag, tossed the empty packaging, and the next day we went to the rink to celebrate my son's birthday. Once we got there and I tried to follow the instructions for setting up the straps, I realized there were missing pieces. Of course this made use of the skates null and void because they just flopped around on his foot (I tried everything to rig it up for 1 time use but it couldn't be done). After we got home I dug the packaging out the trash just to double check that I didn't accidentally throw them away, but it was empty. Pretty disappointing. This also ruined our whole experience because I was on the sidelines with him the entire time, which really upset my son (and me), and my older son had to skate alone.Second- Sizing. The product says that it is designed for ages 2 to 5 with a foot length up to 8". My son is 5 and his foot is 7.25" long. With his shoes on, his foot was hanging over the front about 3/4", so even if they did include the straps, his foot was too large with the shoe on. So.. I'm assuming they were saying up to 8" foot length with shoes ON. This should be clarified because there's a big difference in length with and without shoes.Overall, it was very disappointing and really the a wrench in our birthday experience.

The sizing is good and putting them on and adjusting them is easy. But! Be aware of twisted ankles! Put them on with low rise shoes and it was very scary watching ankles flip!! You need tall shoes to support the ankles!! In my opinion.
