These are great quality pedals for recreational use. They are solid under your feet but are also setup to release easily when it's time to stop. The threads are standard size found on most bikes. Be sure and grease the pedal threads lightly before screwing them in. This will make later removal so much easier.

I bought multiple pairs of these and at the end of a ride, my dominant clipping shoe was completely stripped of the yellow each time. I thought initially that I may have had a defective cleat but each one was destroyed.

I put in 300 miles with these already. My only problem is that they are not breaking in and the clip is still very stiff. Which has caused me to fall 3-4 times already cuz I couldn't pull my foot out quick enough. I'm 55 and pretty athletic so I didn't really hurt myself, but I do have some good scrapes and bruises from the falls. The clips themself are flawless and mount well and don't move once installed. I'd buy them again. But I would try another brand just to see if after 50-60 unclips, they get a little less tight to help me with pullouts when I stop the bike to be less risky. These certainly stay tight. The plastic is very stiff. I had another version of these same ones and the plastic was a bit softer, but they wore out quickly. And broke in well. Certainly not these.{update} - Just replaced these after 800 miles. The yellow parts wore out in some areas. I decided to go with name brand Shimano this time. I wanted to see the difference. I immediately noticed a difference. 1) The Shimano unclipped a bit easier in quick "need to unclip before I'm about to lean over too much moments". Whereas these imitation ones didn't unclip quick enough and I ended up on my side a couple of times in the middle of the street next to cars a couple of times. Secondly, these also seem to wear out more unevenly than the Shimano. These are just not worth it for me. I'm no longer getting these. Lowered my star rating from 4 to 3. I ride about 70 miles per week to give you an idea and I ride about 5,000 miles a year.

I had to replace my Shimano Cleats and as usual I ended up on the Amazon site and saw these specific cleats. They look identical to those that I have used over many years. As is usual I never replace a complete pair, I always use the cleat from the right foot to replace the worn one on the left, that being the foot I always unclip when coming to a stop, so the one on the right seldom gets used. Anyway replacing the cleats as I described I found I had an issue with the new cleat that I had just received. The Thinvit cleat is really hard to unclip from the pedal, I even slackened off my pedal to the least amount of tension, I backed it right out. I still have an issue unclipping the right foot. I have been trying to clip and unclip the right foot in order to get some wear on it to make it easier to operate. I'll just have to keep working with it. The cost of these cleats is very good, I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm finding them hard to use at the moment, I'm just pleased I have an original Shimano cleat on my left shoe to enable me to ride on a regular basis.
