I am a long time user of crank brothers pedals. I have had the egg beaters and the mallets both clip in of course. The quality of crank brothers is unmatchable. The crank brothers style is excellent for the dry or the muddy days as the clip area is wide open allowing mud to just fall through and not cause issues when clippings back in.

Yeah, if I knew beforehand, I had not purchase this pair... My pedals (Crank brothers) came with a pair of cleats, though I did use the ones I bought separately, and yes... painful, very painful (if you are kind of obsessive as my buddy that helped me install them) to install these on my new shoes... at the time of tightening them thew alway shifted to a different position. We quit the endeavor, and I'm riding with one foot slightly pronated...

I have found that over a few seasons the cleats for my pedals can get worn, making it difficult to get in and out of the pedals. Really want that to be effortless when I'm pounding up a difficult trail. New cleats make a difference.

Sono anni che uso pedali crank e brothers sulle mie due mtb e sono molto soddisfatto, ho comprato queste placchette per sostituire le mie ormai molto consumate, pensavo che sarebbe bastato smontare le vecchie e montare le nuove tenendo le stesse regolazioni, ma alla prima uscita mi sono accorto che facevo fatica ad agganciare ma soprattutto a sganciare, tanto è vero che in un paio di occasioni ho fatto la classica caduta della "prima volta con gli agganci", tornato a casa ho provveduto a inserire gli appositi spessori forniti con le placchette e tutto è tornato a funzionare come prima...
