I had plain 3/4” x 2-1/2” flat head, slotted bolts hot dip galvanized locally and most of them had to much galvanizing in the threads and would not take a nut.Using the tool with bolts In a vise it rotated around clearing the threads.I like this tool! It’s heavy duty and worth the price. Might work for pipe too! Great product!
