Several of the reviews already posted complained about the pizza oven not getting hot enough. One in particular mentioned ruining his griddle top seasoning. This pizza oven isn’t supposed to be used on top of the flat surface. It replaces it. The pizza oven should be heated directly by the burners. Using my 22” Blackstone the built in thermostat got to about 650°f. I don’t have an infrared to double check. First pizza can out great, second cooked quicker and was a tad over done. Learning curve on my part. Overall happy.

Had it on high (measured 650, probably much higher under unit) for an hour and a half. Wound up doing pizza in kitchen oven. Repacked and returned the next day.This whole exercise absolutely demolished the carbon cure on my flatop

While this lid is advertised for Pizza I have been using it for cheese steaks and they turn out awesome. This lid holds the heat well, I found it heats better when there is not a in a windy area. Our Blackstone is 22" and this fits it well. The quality is good and the price is reasonable for the quality of the lid. I would buy it again. 5 STARS

I could not have been more excited about this purchase. I received it last night and brought it out tonight. When I unboxed it, I was impressed with the quality of both the oven and the really thick stone. I turned on my Blackstone on high and waited for it to get to 800 degrees. Two hours later it was still at 300 degrees. I have a infrared thermo thermometer and the stone only got to 350. I was so disappointed. I had to fire up my pellet grill with a pizza steel on it to finish it. There were no instructions other than how to place it on the Blackstone. I either did something wrong or there is a serious design flaw.

Very easy to use and clean up. Makes great "medium" sized pizzas in about 5 mins. Just fits right on the grill and all set! Highly recommend.

Stone smells like burning plastic.After degassing it for 6hrs at over 600F I just couldn’t get the stick to stop. Noticed that the protective black finish that the stone rests on (inside the oven) is also generating smoke and smells noxious. To be clear, it is easily perceptible at 12 feet away when the oven is heating. Total of 8hrs of waisted propane in hopes of prepping it for cooking something.Never put food in it.Returned it.BTW, it’s made in CHINA.
