Making pizza is easy but cooking can be problematic for even and direct heating in a regular oven. That is why they make pizza ovens. High heat in a smaller oven made to fit a pizza is the best way to get even heat and a delicious pizza. The TECHFROG outdoor pizza oven is great for the perfect pizza. Easy to set up and the construction is very solid. I recommend natural charcoal or a good burning hard wood like hickory/apple. Don't use evergreen like pine or construction wood because of the pine sap adds a horrible flavor and and construction wood can have chemicals. Makes a perfect 12 inch pizza and the crust is crunching and flavored with apple wood set up. Thermometer to check your oven temperature is a must and easy to clean. I plan on keeping this next to my outdoor BBQ grill and keep it covered when not in use.

This pizza oven is one of the best things to have or to give as a house warming gift. This specific one is compact and comes with all the accessories needed. It even comes with its own carrying bag which is nice if you wanted to take it to someone else’s house. Once you play around with it a bit you’ll realize it’s fairly simple to use. All you need are some wood pellets or small try branches to heat it up. There is a thermometer in the front that lets you know when it is hot enough to put your pizza in. Once you put the pizza it only takes a couple minutes for it to cook. The pizza comes out perfectly cooked and crispy every time. Once you finish using it all you have to do is wait for it to completely cool off then clean the pizza stone and fire box then it is ready to be put away in its carrier. This pizza oven is definitely worth the price and would I highly recommend it!

I was excited, but a little intimidated by this. It arrives in a large heavy box, but is well packaged to safeguard the oven. The instructions were understandable and I took my time, because it is an oven and I didn't want any problems down the line. The instructions say you can use branches / wood, chips or charcoal. I didn't know how fast the sticks would burn down and need to be replaced so after watching a couple youtube videos I settled on four charcoal brickets and added wood chips. In the future will either repeat that or may try to use small branches in place of the wood chips along with the charcoal. I felt more confident using the charcoal as a base. With the charcoal and wood chips fuel it heated up in about 15-20 minutes. From videos I watched I learned to place the pizza a little closer to the front so every 30 seconds or so you can pull it out to give it a little turn to heat evenly. Make sure not to go more than 30 seconds or so in between checks because the pizza is completely done in 2 minutes or less. We did two pizzas and the oven was still plenty hot. The pizza, especially the crust tasted amazing! We used premade pizza dough from the grocery store and just added our toppigs. It was fun and delicious! The result is much better than the regular kitchen oven. It takes about the same amount of time to cool down as a grill. The oven is portable and with the bag it will be easy to pack up and bring to parties or maybe camping etc. This would make a great gift as well!

I think I overestimated my abilities.I was planning on trying it today to make pizza , i opened the box and put the oven together which was fairly easy. When I was ready to light up the wood pellets they would not light up . I might have missed a step or something. The instructions were not much help, I wish they would have a “ instructions for dummies “ type of notice for people like me who don’t have the slightest clue of what they are supposed to do.After few tries i was already frustrated and to protect my sanity I decided to give up and cooked my pizza in my traditional oven.Ill try again but for now here is what I gathered about this pizza oven so far:•It’s small and easy to carry .•If you can get it to light up it should take about 20 mins to heat up and about 2 minutes to cook the pizza, which means your food should be ready in under 25 mins which is great.•It comes with all the accessories you need and a cover to protect it from the weather.• it looks sturdy and built to last.I hope I’ll be able to figure out what I am doing wrong .

This pizza oven comes in one heavy box...I feel for my Amazon delivery driver as I have a steep driveway and they can't really drive up it as there is no turnaround spot so they had to carry this up to my door.It arrived in one big box that was inside of another box that was inside of another box that was then the product box....which actually sounds wasteful but was smart as the first two boxes had gashes and cuts in them so all of the boxes actually protected the actual product and product box.The oven is packaged well, easy to take out and easy to assemble...took me about 30 minutes but wasn't rushing through it. All the parts were there including the extra tools/utensils.The oven takes pellets, but it also states you can use different woods, etc. but I'm going to stick with pellets for ease of use...plus I'm not sure I want to go forage for wood to put in it.First use was easy and simple....instructions are clear and it make some great pizzas. I did learn not to put a pizza in and leave it unattended as it doesn't take long to cook a pizza and there is a quick line between done and burnt! As for long term durability, it seems like it will last a while...its not cheaply made, etc and definitely costs less than some of the overpriced brands on the market today.
