No need to have the water softener repair man fix it. Worked great and is still going. This will be my annual fix since the price is right and easy to do.

Bought this item early May. We continued to have leakage and hissing. It is well made but would have loved the bottom to be more secured. You can snap it on and off. This is completely user error. Just be aware the bottom is not completely sealed in place.

Got this slide and spool for my aging water softener that was leaking internally and driving my household water consumption up (which was costing me in higher water bills). It was a direct replacement, was easy to replace and stopped all the internal leakage on the Clack valve.
