This fixed the issue I had with the old float.Over time, water scale builds up on the float and steel rod. To the point the float no longer slides up & down easily. When that happens, the sump pump won't operate correctly.Changing the float fixed that issue.

Price is ridiculous. Part works well, a little bit of a pain to install. Never buying this brand of sump pump again.

1-*from Bob on July 24, 2023Rod is not rust proof.I needed to replace a broken float during historic rains. The rod that the float rides on rusted completely in half. Who designs a part that is under water all the time out of material that rusts. What did they save $0.05 ?

Needed to replace floater on sump pump other one rusted where it attaches to pump. Took off old one and replaced in 2 min. Fit and works like a charm. Highly recommend....it saved me $350.00 for I did not have to purchase a new pump. Plus the new pumps are not as nice and won't last as long as the old pumps.

This vertical replacement float fit perfectly and works perfectly on my Wayne sump pump. It took some finagling to get it on. I had to reach both hands into the pit but it was simple and no tools are required. Kind of expensive for a rod, rubber strap and plastic cylinder but better than endlessly mopping my basement.
