Completely disappointed with this seed starter system. What a waste of money and, worse, my carefully cultivated seedlings. The biggest issue by far is the inadequate grow light that comes with this unit. Despite the product description claiming it provides "full spectrum" lighting for healthy seedling development, my plants quickly became severely leggy, desperately stretching toward what little light was available.Within just a week of germination, my tomato and pepper seedlings developed thin, weak stems as they strained upward, growing at alarming angles rather than standing strong and upright. The light intensity is simply nowhere near powerful enough to support proper plant development, regardless of how close I positioned it to the seedlings. I even tried running the lights for extended hours (18+ hours daily), but the seedlings continued to stretch and become increasingly leggy.The heat mat is equally problematic - it runs much too hot with no real temperature control, causing soil to dry out rapidly and stressing the delicate root systems. Combined with the inadequate lighting, this created the perfect conditions for failure. Several seedlings that managed to germinate quickly wilted and died despite careful attention to watering.The tray construction itself feels flimsy and cheap, with poor drainage that led to some cells remaining waterlogged while others dried out. The humidity dome doesn't fit properly and kept slipping off.Save your money and invest in a proper grow light system with actual light intensity suitable for plant development. This starter kit will only lead to disappointment and leggy, unusable seedlings that won't survive transplanting. Complete waste of a growing season.

Everything was good but the lights. 1 light did not work. And I already planted everything before I realized this so I can't send it back so I had to come up with my own lighting system but you ought to check them before you send them out to make sure both the lights work

Me and my daughter had fun planting seeds using these planters. Easy to fill, the tools were easy for her to use (she's 5), and the seeds sprouted in less than a week with the help of the heating mat. Recommended to a friend who's going to buy a set or two for his own garden setup. Thanks!

Perfect! And I have started seeds in it 3 years in a row with success each time. Heated still works lights still work, plastic is still in good shape and I'm not the easiest person on things like that so they are tougher then some of the others out there

Made of plastic, emphasis on weight, size and function. Very light weight. Small in size/fits on side of desk. Easy to use and it worked! Seeds growing into nice plants. Difficult to control humidity, but it is on my desk so I can monitor it all the time. Light enough to carry with one arm/hand when full of soil. I like it!
