At first, the phone worked great, but after about a week, I picked up the receiver to make a call, and when I dialed a number, it didn't register. The dial tone just stayed on as if I hadn't dialed anything. I replaced the phone extension wire I was using and it works great now.

This was to replace our older retro house phone because it had a crackling sound on the line, this one is very clear and louder so we are very pleased with that, its also a very nice looking phone that fits in with our decor.

I got this model because it said you can turn off the ringer which is what I need. When I first turned the phone over to attach the wires I heard something rattling inside. I couldn't get a dial tone or answer the phone although it rang because the handset cradle buttons didn't raise up when the handset was lifted. My husband took the bottom off and found a spring was rattling around inside. I don't know if the arm the spring attached to is broken but he couldn't get the spring to stay on so he attached it to a screw nearby and then attached it to the moving arm and the phone works fine now. It sounds good, but I find the handset to be loud. The ringer is a lightweight bell sound not as deep as old phones. It's a fun retro looking phone overall.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much - I bought this for my “retro desk” with the serial terminal. For the price I figured it would be a flimsy plastic “look but don’t touch” kind of thing.But it’s actually pretty solidly built, and it works fine as a phone - the rotary dialing mechanism has some circuitry inside that makes it work as a touch tone phone, which means it works with modern analog/iP bridges like my Ooma, and the sound quality is fine for an analog headset. In addition, the rotary action is way faster than the phones I had as a kid, which makes dialing relatively painless.Very happy with the purchase! 5/5.

I think this is one of my favorite things! Omg so retro. I have this at my bedside and just love how it looks, feels and sounds. My boyfriend saw it and wants one for his office now.

Great Quality Rotary dial Phone, reminds me of my childhood. Works Great and ringer sounds nice. Thanks to a reviewer I was able to figure out how the center plastic disk removes to add in my own phone number. No damage whatsoever in removing it. Now it actually does look authentic with my own phone number inserted under the disk. Absolutely love it! Have gotten so many compliments. Can't wait to see how the grand-kids react when I have them call their Mom. Lol

Forget a classic phone this is cheap flimsy plastic, and appallingly made, if not unusable. Have requested a refund alas no response.
