I purchased this as I love retro decor and wanted a phone and, of course, loved the color. I didn't realize it was REAL. It comes with the coil cord to attach phone to speaking piece and also a matching cord to connect into the wall. I'm assuming it works perfect since it comes with all the equipment needed, but I just used it as decor. It's relatively heavy - meaning it's not lightweight plastic. This is a real phone. I love it and it sits beautifully in a place of honor in my home.

I purchased this phone for my mom because it was nostalgic. Unfortunately, she had a difficult time with it due to memory issues. The phone istself is great and sturdy. Not cheap looking at all.

I bought this for my daughter to use for pretend play. It's very cute (red!) and will be perfect for that purpose. It won't be plugged in and used, so I can't speak to call quality or anything. It came in a very thin cardboard box, inside a poly mailer bag, and the thin cardboard was busted. Hard to say if I received a returned open item or if it happened en route to my house, but the phone itself wasn't harmed. Just FYI in case you are looking at using this as an actual phone - maybe look for user reviews on other listings with pictures of how the phone is packed. Good luck!
