Best cheap land line phone I haver bought and I have been through quite a few over the years. This is one of the easiest to set up the only ting missing is the number pad doesn't light up so you can see what you dial in te dark . Money well spent.

We bought this for my mother-in-law because she has trouble seeing and hearing. The phone itself was perfect but we did end up having to return it because it didn't work for what she needed it for but that was nothing against the phone or the quality of the phone. I would purchase this again if I needed it for someone that needed a louder landline or someone that needed help seeing the numbers or even for children that could just press on the picture .

Bought this for my elderly parents who have trouble seeing and hearing.Pros:- Nice size keys for low vision individuals- nice options to add photos to frequently used numbersCons:- Ringer not quite loud enough for us- Ringer made an unattractive sound - kind of jarring- Sound quality wasn't greatThe keys are very large, which is great.

Do not buy this phone, save your money and aggravation! To start with those plastic things that cover the photos is horrible. Getting them out is a pain in the butt and good luck getting them back on. I programmed the phone numbers I wanted and 3 days later they magically got unprogrammed. I bought this phone for my father with Alzheimer's, and he kept telling me it would work and then not work. I feel so bad now because I kept blaming him and his disease and that he didn't know how to use it. Needless to say, it is the phone! It stinks! It just stopped working. all of a sudden you would pick up the ringing phone and you couldn't hear anyone, and you couldn't dial out either. The phone is GARBAGE!! Now I don't even have the option to return it. It is going right in the garbage can.

I bought this for my 96 yr old mom who has Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration (and severe loss of hearing in both ears). She now enjoys being able to see the large black buttons with crisp white numbers on this phone. Plus the fact the speakerphone aspect of this telephone is far superior to others we have tried.

My mom is hard of hearing, and I got this phone especially to be able to talk to her. She is able to easily have conversations with me when listening through the earpiece. When we tried the speaker function, the volume and clarity wasn't so great. We just don't use the speakerphone so it doesn't bother us that much.

[Edit - a few days later, I got my hands on a manual, and uploaded a picture of it for others.]--------------------------------------------This phone seemed to be just what my aunt needed, and was working well.But, it seems that the one of the programmable keys needs re-programmed (maybe I neglected to test the number--my fault), but I've lost the manual and can't remember how to reprogram the phone. I can't find the manual on-line. Make sure to keep your copy somewhere. Maybe tape it to the bottom of the phone.

Unlike the push button ones, this phone really works like old ones of my childhood. I don't know why I like these so much, but at least I actually received just what I wanted. The blue color is new and looks great in my room. If you like a rotary dial phone, this one is perfect.

Looks like metal on photo but is actually plastic. Looks nice enough, so still satisfied with the purchase...The rotary dial works great.The ringing tone is kinda loud and its settings are whether "it rings" or it "doesn't". Great if you don't want to be bothered or if you plan on leaving for vacations and don't want to bother neighbours.
