Does as advertised. But beware, depending on how your house is built (if you're planning on using it in the basement) it will shake the house while the bag is punched and separate your flooring if you have wood flooring. This isn't the seller's or product's fault of course, simply the placement of installation and structure of the home.

Pretty quick and easy to install. Just hung 80 pound bag directly from mount in basement, and so far it has been doing its job no problems. Directly hanging the bag from the mount, the noise level on main floor above isn't as much reduced as I might like, but it's not too bad. If you have height to do it and want to try to further reduce noise, consider buying another spring to hand between mount and bag.

Once I raised my hand that I had an issue this company turned around and made it right very promptly. I was very pleased with their customer service once they were aware of my issue.I received just a plain black bracket - not what was pictured..... no cross bar like what is shown in the photos.I went to install this and the directions say to use 2 of the supplied wood lag bolts for the bottom - Great, no problemThen it says drill through the joist and use the supplied machine bolts and nuts .... which were not supplied .... I had to drive to Lowe’s to get them.I was disappointed but as I mentioned the company did make it right so I give them kudos for that

Update: I reached out to the seller and they quickly responded, clarified, and addressed my issue. A brace was shipped to me for reasonable terms. It really did add stability to the rafter mount. This is a great unit.Just bought an Outslayer heavy bag for my basement, and I used this mount to hang it. It was very easy to mount, and the dampening mechanism seems to help. I did take away a star because this mount does not include the pictured rafter brace which goes approximately 45 degrees to the adjacent joist for support. I feel they need to make this more clear in the description.

Would be a 5 star review but for the bolt head that broke as I was ratcheting it in. Mounting still works great with 3 mounting bolts. I am still annoyed by how easily the bolt broke. I drilled beginning holes, and I was not turning very hard when the top just broke off in the ratchet. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with the mounting, and the job it is doing holding up my 100 lbs heavy bag.

Holds my 100lb bag and works well. The system is well made and has a good "bounce" to it so it does not damage your beams or mounting area too bad.

First, I received the mounting bracket two days after ordering it. Awesome!! Then I inspected the quality and again I was impressed, very solid built equipment. Next was the test, I hung a 100lb bag and worked out, the house didn't feel as if it was shaking apart. It felt as good as the bags in the boxing gym where I take lessons. The built-in shock absorber definitely reduces the vibration through the basement floor joist. I would strongly recommend this product.
