The hangers had to be non-corroding, non-staining, sunlight resistant and strong enough to support the weight of wet dive equipment while remaining reasonably priced. The inspiration for the unusual shapes of these hangers came from divers who wanted to get their equipment off the floor, out of the sand and up the air for drying after a rinse in fresh water. The hangers turned out to be so rugged that most diving retailers used them to display equipment in their stores.The hanger designed for holding a BC and regulator has been redesinged for versatility and ease of use. The original design required the diver to remove the dust cap of the regulator and screw the first stage onto the hanger. The purpose of this was to make sure that the regulator did not fall off. In the new design of the BC hanger an inverted T-hook is provided for draping the regulator hoses from the hanger while still providing resistance to slipping off onto the floor. The "shoulder tips" of the hanger are hooked upward to prevent the BC from sliding off as it would on a conventional hanger. In addition the hanger utilizes strong I- beam construction and is non-corroding as well as non-staining.

I've been buying Underwater Kinetics wetsuit, BCD, and booties hangers for more than 20 years. I've yet to have any break, despite repeated drops onto concrete. This wetsuit hanger is great for 3mm, 4mm and 5mm suits. For anything thicker, you may want to get a wider hanger. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very strong and I've had one of these for a decade, with frequent use.... But it's an expensive piece of molded plastic.Still... I'll but again as they work really well

They might seem expensive for a hangar, but they work great for holding my family’s heavy motorcycle jackets and gear. They easily fit over the clothes rod in our closet. I got sick of trying to double & triple up regular hangars to hold heavy leather jackets and armored riding jeans just to have them break. I’d have to run these over with a steamroller to destroy them! It’s nice to go get my gear out of storage and not find it on the closet floor surrounded by wimpy broken plastic or wooden hangers.

I open water swim in colder water year round. I have a collection of 4 wetsuits from Xterra to Xcel that I rotate frequently. These are strong, big enough,and easy to loop over. Plastic perfect when wet. They are about $10 a piece for just a hanger, but wetsuits aren’t cheap, so why cheap out on the hanger? A bad hanger can ruin a wetsuit.

Durable and holds heavy items well. Dive gear and armored motorcycle jackets. Could be larger at shoulders, for mens large and above, Jackets. Will fit medium or smaller gear fine.

These are perfect. We're using these to hang our motorcycle ridding gear (leathers).I think a fire truck could run over these things and they'd remain undamaged. These are a super sturdy 1-piece hanger, the hook is part of the hanger so the weight of what is on the hanger is not going to pull the hook off the hanger. Exactly what I was looking for, and as described.

I bought this hanger to hang my firefighting turnouts and it worked perfectly. The hanger itself is simple, yet durable and fairly priced. I checked out a few other heavy duty hangers that were about twice as much and I'm happy that I ended up purchasing this hanger.Side note: It would be nice to see a small hook inside the hanger to possibly hang a brush jacket or something lighter as well.

I bought this genuine and top quality U.K Underwater Kinetics(as well as a lesser quality knockoff:https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004F3XJ3S )**both here on Amazon** as an experiment.I got my first UK wetsuit hanger when I was 15, many years ago. The UK that arrived in this order is identical to my first one, and that's a very good thing.Unlike the Taiwan imitation, this one is molded without flash (that I needed to trim before giving it away to a friend that wants to hang a thin rash suit) or any warpage. It's thicker (deeper front to back), too, for support over a larger area in the shoulders, vital to not permanently crease or compress the wetsuit and cause cold spots and lead to tears.If you had them side-by-side and could handle and see them, I believe you'd pick the UK model with your eyes closed or open.For only $1 more, why buy the lesser model?I'm ordering another of these now that I know the version claimed here on Amazon as a UK is the real thing.Only 3 stars for the knock-off https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004F3XJ3SFive stars for **THIS** UK (it's also marked as such "Underwater Kinetics" on the hanger).
