As I am in a search for a good kitchen scale, I am quite ticked off about my experience with trying different scales right now as there has been a problem with every one so far and you would think, the more expensive the scale the less likely there is a problem. Well, that proved to be wrong based on my current experience.About this Hochoice Lab Analytical Precision Scale 3000g x 0.01g:I have no idea why is it so difficult to put everything that is important about the product in its description so that customers are not surprised and don't have to ask obvious questions in Q&As. Especially, when there is something that they need to know and they cannot possibly know it if they are not told. One of such things that there is no mentioning anywhere in the description is that the scale is using, according to the seller "7.4V 2600mAh. You can find it on Amazon with 7.4V 2P lithium battery". It turns out that it is not just simply that "7.4V 2P lithium battery", which all seem to have a type of JST plugs, but the scale has spade terminal connections! Try to find those! I am not going to waste my time with that. But wait, there is more! The scale, at least as I got it, did not come with any battery! It came only with a power supply. And that is at scale's price tag of $145! Never had a scale that did not come with a battery and especially with no indication about that in the description!I am not sure if that is supposed to be like that or not, but I tend to think that it was just an oversight: there were no screws included to attach the bracket to the scale for the weighting plate. Another thing I noticed is that the bracket does not have any rubber cushioning for the weighting plate as I see on all other scales that I tried.Overall, the first impression of the scale is that it does have a "cheap" feel to it and a couple of the other cheaper scales that I tried seem to have been built better.I felt like I already made up my mind about this scale and already decided not to keep it, but then I decided to plug it in and see how it works. My impression is that its response is slightly on a slower side, but not too bad. The LCD display is average (and no, it is NOT a LED display as the product description indicates!). I no longer cared to check for its accuracy. Just too many issues that I am willing to take not to mention that I cannot use the weighting plate because I have no screws!
