This is an “industrial” scale. Not really for postage / food service, though you’re welcome to use it for whatever you wish. It has a weight limit of 10#. It can be used either by battery or AC. Fairly simple operation, but not great instructions. This scale is Made in China and being sold by a Chinese company on Amazon. At the current price of 104 bucks. . . It’s well over twice the price it should be.

This is a great scale, it's made very well, it's nice and heavy, and it's pretty easy to use -- if you need metric measurements. Unfortunately, I ordered this for jobs where I always need to use imperial measurements (ounces, pounds, etc). Based on the description, I believed that I could swap back and forth between metric and imperial pretty easily. But the imperial measurement function leaves a lot to be desired. There might be more to the functions than I have found, but so far it seems very bare bones and doesn't seem to lend itself to a lot of accuracy in ounces. The tare function is easy to use, so that's a plus. I use that a lot when I measure into pitchers. The platform is large enough for bigger things, which is another plus. I also love the adjustable feet to keep the machine level. It really is a great scale, I'm just frustrated with measuring ounces. I might convert ounces to grams in my formulas at some point, but right now I really just needed it to work like I'd hoped.

This is a sturdy functional kitchen scale. It is huge and very solid- quite well-made. It seems accurate when compared with another kitchen scale that we have. It will be easy to use for pot/ pans when tracking macros and needing to weigh a larger portion. It plugs into an outlet- there is a compartment on the bottom that looks like it would be for batteries, but it isn't. This scale does have a large footprint, so it probably won't have a spot on the counter all the time. However, this scale will definitely be used. Recommend, hope this helps.

I bought two of these (watch out as they are not eligible for return). When they arrived, they each worked well. I could weigh heavy items or small items with great accuracy. On the first one, I left it on over the weekend and not plugged it. After that, it no longer worked. I had it plugged in for days and weeks, but would no longer display anything. On the second one, after about a month, the battery stopped holding a charge well. Leaving it on unattended and unplugged for 10-30 minutes at a atine, but then being diligent about putting it back on the charge, still drained the battery slowly. After about 3 months, it too went dead.Save yourself some money and avoid this. Unless you need it stationary and always plugged in, then it might be fine. I had multiple stations that needed to use this, so I moved it all the time. If that’s your situation, don’t buy it.

I have been using this scale for the past 5 months for mixing doughs. I loved the accuracy and fidelity of the scale, and it allowed me to confidently weigh out 600g and then add smaller measurements for salt and yeast in the 5.5g range on top of it. Most kitchen scales that would be impossible to do with. The built in battery finally needed to be recharged, so I plugged it in, and now all I get is a half-lit screen that doesn't display any numbers. It will not hold a charge and is no longer usable. It's never been wet or mishandled. I loved this scale until now. I don't know what went wrong with it, but 5 months seems like a short life for a $100+ scale.
