This new type of installation is very easy. If you can hook up the supply lines, remove the old, the rest is easy. Mounts from the top, not under the countertop. Looks good, works perfect.

After a fews weeks the retraction starts to suck and it hangs, so you need to manually fix it. When the sensor is on and you’re washing something big like a pot or cutting board, the sensor turns the water on or off. Also, the soap dispenser is uncomfortable.

This is a perfect faucet. I have had several hands free Moens in the past and decided to give this one a go. When I opened the well packed box I was beyond amazed at the quality and workmanship this faucet has. A lot of thought obviously went into the design. The fittings are not just simple screw on nuts they are well thought out connectors with positive feedback that they are fitting correctly and you get a sense of security those connections are never going to leak. Its design is that good. It was quite refreshing to see the quality of this faucet compared to most of the flimsy overseas junk we have to endure. The installation instructions are simple, clear, and unambiguous. Whoever at Pfister came up with the idea of installing the faucet from the top using a drill to spin up the bottom mounting bracket should win the Charles Stark Draper Prize for Engineering. To remove the mounting nut from the old faucet took ten tedious minutes on my back inside a dark cramped cabinet contorted into a position Nadia Comăneci would be jealous of. To install the new faucet from the top only took no kidding 40 seconds using a drill and a tool supplied by Pfister. Even if you don't have a drill you can still install it from the top with the included tool - you just twist the tool by hand. Shouldn't take any time at all. The faucet works great. Just wave your hand in front of it to turn it on and off. Hands free is the way to go if you cook a lot. The sprayer has 3 settings, normal flow, a spray, and a high pressure "blade" spray that could probably take the chrome off a trailer hitch. The spray head pulls out easily and retracts right back into the spout and a magnet holds it in place. This looks much better than my old one that looked like a tired water moccasin just hanging there half the time. The finish looks great and appears to resist water spots. I had one question for customer service about my unique installation and they answered my question I sent from their web page promptly and accurately in a matter or hours. I can't recommend this faucet enough. I wish I had more kitchens to install them in.

By far the easiest installation I have ever done on a faucet. The TopPfit feature is awesome. The sensor works good, takes a little getting used to. Installed this yesterday so I don't have any long term experience to fairly rate the durability and quality. But so far, the out of box experience and quality is 5 stars. If this faucet holds up for the long haul, I will only purchase Pfister products in the future. I also like the 1.8 GPM flowrate since the new sink is very large and deep. It includes two flow restrictors for those who want or are required to save water.

Installation instructions are mostly adequate but a few places would benefit from additional explanatory text.It comes with a 1.8 gpm aerator whose diameter is smaller than the 2.0 gpm aerator on our old faucet. With the water valve wide open, we experienced too much spraying back off the bottom of the sink. They offer replacement options of 1.5 gpm or 1.0 gpm aerators. We called Pfister and ordered the 1.5 gpm aerator; it was free. The spraying back is gone now.Turning off the faucet with the motion detector takes some getting use to. Here's what I have learned. Move hand, or object you're holding, within 3 inches of the motion detector. Then move out of the 3 inch range. Then the water will turn off. If you keep moving in the 3 inch range until the water turns off, you may accidentally cause it to turn on again!UPDATE: The 3-inch range to activate the motion detector apparently applies to the reflectivity of non-shinny surfaces like human skin. We have Farberware stainless steel pots and pans and have discovered, while rinsing them under the running faucet, the water will be toggled off! Testing reveals that moving one of these shinny pots and pans within approximately 7.5 inches of the motion detector causes it to toggle off or on, as the case may be. Smaller pots and pans can be rinsed off to the side away from the the line of sight of the motion detector. But, this is not possible with a large roasting pan! There is no way to modify the sensitivity of the motion detector, as far as I can tell. The is a switch under the sink which can turn off the motion detector and have the faucet work line any other.
