Like someone else before me, this failed. I purposely purchased the 120W version to make sure I had enough capacity to power less than 30W of a row of 1.5w led lights. Just after a few months, it indicates overloading and shuts off. Every attempt to turn it back on leads to the same result. Useless.EDIT:After a few tries with a different transformer (another brand) I came to the realization the problem was in the cable connecting the LED lights. So nothing wrong with this unit. It works well.

The product seems very well built but it's day three and I still don't have it working for what I wanted it for.The Astro feature was the reason I bought it and it will not work all night long, dusk to dawn as I want.It turns on fine but during the night it shuts off and due to the lousy, fine print instructions I cannot figure out why.It talks about how to turn on a default setting but it doesn't tell you how to turn it off.I'm going to try the timer mode tonight and Astro mode tomorrow and if I can't figure it out it's going back.

What I like the most from this transformer is all the on/off options to choose from. This transformer features a dusk - dawn option, an astronomical function that can be set according to what state you live in, and the traditional on at 6pm and off at 2am setting. I have a garage mounted transformer so I needed one that offered a manual timer and this was one of the few options I was able to find that offered more than just a light sensor activated timer - or dusk to dawn setting. I never heard of this brand name before but after further research I found they are the manufacturers of Malibu and Brinkmann products so build quality seems very solid. I've had this set up for a few nights now powering 24watts of warm led lights each drawing 3watts per light and a 60 watt transformer has the ability nowadays to run a substantial amount of LED landscape powered lights. One more feature that is very helpful, is a load meter that visually allows you to monitor if you are getting to the point of overloading your transformer with too many lights. In all, I'm very happy with my purchase and would confidently recommend. Just wanted to add that I bought this transformer as a Used Like New because it was missing the owners manual so I just wanted to thank my fellow Amazon shoppers for posting photos of the operating manual -it was very helpful !

I bought 2 of these ,one of them was dead on arrival, no display nothing, and the second one lasted 1 day , it has a display and shows it’s on but no lights , checked all my connections and they are good, put my old timer on and that works , read a few other reviews on these timers arriving dead ! Stay away if you don’t want a hassle. Update Feb 11/23, I found an intermittent bad connection in my wiring , so the second one turned out to be ok if it lasts it would be a good timer , easy to program

This transformer/control does exactly what it was designed to do, and provides hands-free operation after setup. There are options for timer or sensor on/off (outdoor) and GPS operation (indoor). The only detraction is that the instructions are in very small print, and it does take some time to program. NOTE: make sure to calculate the total wattage required for the lights in the system, then add up to 80% to avoid operating at maximum output. This also allows for later additions to your lighting. I replaced an old 80W output transformer with 120 watts, it is operating at 50% output, and all is well.

Even though this was rated as being waterproof I would have never bought it if I had to totally expose it to the elements. I would have bought one with a door/cover. Since I installed this in a covered area not subject to getting rained on or exposed to the Arizona sun, I was happy with this item. All my outdoor lights only had a total output of 45 watts since they are all LED so this had more capacity than what I needed. It took about 10 mins to swap out my old Malibu transformer that completely stopped working. This is about as easy as it gets when installing because there are only 2 wires to attach for the outdoor lighting and you can hard wire it or plug it in for power (I hard wired it).The instructions for programming weren't too clear but its not hard to figure out because there are only 4 functions. So some quick trial and error settings and everything was ready to go.
