I got this to help supply power to my outdoor holiday displays this year on top of our usual spotlights and pathway lighting. I was very please to note as soon as I received this item, it was very heavy. Upon removing it from the box and looking it over I was very pleased to see the waterproofing aspect! Since we live somewhere with a lot of rain and snow, we often deal with a great deal of wet times verses dry. This was super easy to use and leaves me feeling happy and assured that's things will be all and well. I have no had any issues at all whatsoever with this! No dimming, fading, pulsing, etc lights!

These transformers are perfect! They don't have any fancy electronics to go bad. There's no light sensor, no timer, none of that stuff that always fails. It's just a transformer, you hook the lights to one side and plug it in and the lights are on. I use smart plugs to control my landscape lighting, so this is absolutely perfect. It's also what you want if you run your landscape lights on a switched plug.Plenty of output power now that everything is LED.

I measured 13.6VAC with the output loaded only by the Digital Multi-Meter. 12.7VAC with an approximately 8 ohm resistive load, or around 1.5A. That would fall further at higher current.

This is an amazing 60W transformer at a great price! I needed it to replace a burned-out transformer for my neon sign, and after installing the new one, I finally got the chance to control it through Alexa and smart plug. Before this, the neon sign hadn't lit up for over a year. After a simple installation, it worked perfectly, and the sign lights up almost instantly. Compared to the inherent delay with transformers that have photo sensors, the instant response with Alexa is absolutely unbeatable.Someone had previously told me that the whole neon sign system was beyond repair, and that I would either have to replace the entire setup or hire a professional electrician for repairs. I thought it was too expensive and troublesome, so I did nothing for a whole year. Now, with less than $30 and a little bit of installation time, I’ve brought the whole system back to life, and it’s incredibly satisfying.One thing worth mentioning is that this AC transformer has an extra-long power cord, which made it easy to connect the power from the indoor smart plug to the outdoor neon sign. It’s clear that the product designers really thought about user experience when making this.Since it’s an IP66 waterproof transformer, I just screwed it onto a piece of wood on the wall indoors. I don’t think I need to worry about safety issues related to humidity or temperature changes. Now the only thing on my mind is that 60W might be a bit overkill for my needs. Maybe I should hook up some other devices to make full use of it!
