I received it in a small zip lock bag and not EMPI packaging, it's Not as shown in the photo and and appears to be used and filed, I did try it numerous times with NO luck. The tabs will not lock into the slots in the nut......Would definitely not buy this!

Does not grip the nut. Useless for my application.Not sure if I’m going to return it yet or spend some time and modify it so it may work. Basically the slots on the nut that I am trying to remove are thinner than the tool.In all fairness it may not be a stock nut on my 1600 oil filler reservoir, but it sure looks like it is.

You got to be careful. It works ok. For an old part that hasn’t been removed in years you would have to heat it up in order to be able to remove it. I did that and it went out like butter. Otherwise it would slip and end up damaging the washer’s notches.

This tool worked to remove a stubborn VW oil filler but I had to use an impact wrench and the tabs on the tool bent a little. In hindsight I would try an internal pipe wrench tool instead. It could be used for other jobs too.

This is a specialized tool and you can remove the oil filler without it but the tool makes it so much easier.

I should have read the reviews. This tool doesn’t fit the filler nut correctly. Too small and the ridge or blade part are not big enough to properly fill the grove notches on the nut to be able to work.Very disappointed amazon allows this to be sold.Hey empi, thought you said you were bringing quality back
