This kit is from Woodford, The other kit for $5 less is not…and people have some fitment issues with that kit. If you are handy and $5 matters, go for the other kit, but this was perfect for two of my faucets from the mid-1990’s.

Restored my leaking faucet to new condition. A little pricey but was not sure about the fit of the competing products after reading the reviews.

This is an awesome repair kit and just what I needed to repair 20+ year old faucet. I otherwise would have had to cut out the old pipes and sweat in a new fixture. This was easy to install and took only a few minutes to repair the fixture. It took more time to shut off the water than it did to install this kit. Cheaper and more effective than having to call a plumber.

We were trying to replace a broken faucet (more than 20 years old, plastic internal part broke). We were able to get the name from the broken faucet. Found this product on Amazon and it was perfect replacement. Works great!

This worked exactly as advertised. Our faucet was making a loud vibration noise especially at lower flow levels. The only slightly difficult part was unscrewing the outer piece (the one that has left-handed threads) as it was a bit stuck but it was not that bad. The video available online (search "woodfort model 25 repair") gives all the details you'll need. Will likely replace our other faucet as well in the near future.

I bought a total of four of these refurbishment kits for Woodford RK-25 hose bibs at different times over a five month period. The first two cost about C$60, then the third cost C$80, then the fourth one cost C$95. I installed the first two at my house, then the third one, and later a fourth one, at my daughter's house. All of the installations were quite easy and went smoothly. However, after a couple of months, the third one failed. The small rubber plunger/stopper cracked and began to leak profusely. I was unable to buy just the broken piece in Canada, but the only supplier for these is in the U.S. and they said the piece could be purchased for US$17, but their shipping price was US$80! So absurd that I almost choked! When I questioned the shipping price, they essentially said I could just buy another whole kit ... but by that time, the price had escalated to a whopping C$111. It wasn't practical to take the whole bib apart again and return the item to Amazon, because I would have had to have my water service shut off until an outrageously priced replacement kit arrived. So I decided to replace the whole bib with a product from a different maker. Now I am satisfied. So three out of four are working just fine, but I don't think they deserve any higher rating than 2 stars.

Parts appear to be from the original manufacturer. They fit perfectly. The reason for the less than enthusiastic rating? The item was rather expensive for no more than what's in the parts bag. The parts are relatively easy to install - once you get the old faucet apart. There is no warning that it's possible to twist the faucet off the feed pipe if you put too much torque on the left-handed thread nut. There should be. The Woodford video shows a gleamingly clean nut on a perfectly clean faucet that comes off with a little nudge from an adjustable wrench. It just ain't so. Total time to do this job was about an hour (first time).
