PRIER residential hydrants are the finest quality available. Made from heavy cast brass patterns, copper tubing with stainless steel and aluminum accessories, these hydrants are designed, built and tested to last for the life of your plumbing system. PRIER stems are made with heavy brass ends and are secured at the handle and at the seat with long wearing ACME threads. Since we secure our stem at both ends of the valve, we can manufacture a hydrant to virtually any length and not encounter problems associated with stem seating, rattling, or noise under flow. PRIER offers eight different residential models with as many as seven standard inlet options, twelve standard lengths and options for custom lengths and plating finishes. Feels like a cheaper quailty and is a half of turn full open instead one quarter turn. Works

1/4 turn valves work better. I can't say how they'll be 20 years on, but I've had to pull rotten screws from enough washer type valves that I think it's probably a better bet with one of these and the kids don't have such a hard time with it

Installed at the office as an extra water spigot. So far, does the job. The test will be this winter to see if it doesn't freeze.

Absolute top notch quality! Great coating on the knob itself. Nice and large knob easy to turn. Male threaded fitting was solder on perfectly. You can truely tell its made in the USA by someone who cares.Extremely easy to install you get exactly what is describe so it fit like it should.My front yard faucet is not broken or leaking but im getting another one to replace my front faucet. You say "why its just a hose faucet?" It is just that nice of a faucet its just a total joy to use. Hope it lasts but I have not doubt it will last like it should.

After going through a few other types, finally got the 14” in this model which is what we needed. It’s considerably more beefy than the cheaper models we tried to get to work from local stores. The on/off knob is rubber or rubber coated and seems like it will hold up well. Will spend more $$ to get this model when we have to replace others on our house.

Material of construction is impressive. Quarter-Turn feature is another plus. When it comes time to replace the washer seal, I will decide if discussion or just plain 'cussin' is required. Installation was EASY.

The overall product looks good and met expectation initially. Unfortunately, I waited to install this product and didn't realize it was faulty before the return date ended.The issue is that it leaks, specifically where the threaded pipe fitting is soldered to the copper stem.My suggestion to anyone installing one, is to connect to a water line before installing to check for leaks. I'd let water flow through it for a good half hour or more. I don't know if Prier will stand by this issue. If not, it was a $50-60 mistake.
