Wow! This pump is a beast and extremely well constructed. All of our Makita batteries fit it perfectly and this is at a great price. Although, it hasn't been ran long, it ran great for the short time for testing. I believe it will work a long time, if cared for properly. I’m a huge fan of all things Makita. Buying an off brand makes me really nervous. This was the first off brand item we ever purchased. We took a chance and I’m glad I did. We needed this for 2 different things: to empty a stock tank pool and to move water that collects against the edge of our driveway. Our stock tank pool is 700 gallons. Most of the water can be emptied by removing the pump and letting it drain. In the past I just used a bucket to hand bail the last 3” of water but this year I used this. All I had to do was place the end of it into the tank and turn it on. It was empty in less that 15 minutes. I wasn’t sure how it would do with the muddy water along my driveway but it worked really well. This pump is absolutely amazing. It’s as easy to use as flipping a light switch and I’m really glad I took a chance with this off brand and saved myself a lot of money.

When it is on, it works great. But it frequently shuts off, meaning you have to frequently monitor it to see if it has shut off.

Pros:- Makita battery fits great.- Pumps fast (5 gallons in 30 seconds)- Included hose fits fine on outlet threads (3/4" GHT) with included hose clampCons:- Included hose is flexible PVC (toxic)- GPH is overstated (closer to 600 GPH, not 720 GPH)I'd suggest getting a regular garden hose for the outlet. The included flexible PVC hose has a large ID, which is great, but is made of one of the most toxic plastics we make.

This pump will pull out water really well. And, it's length allows for getting a bit deeper. Be careful not to damage the wires on the inside. But, that would take some negligence on your part. Not an issue with the pump itself.
