I ordered this unit more than a year ago and I used it for a while before moving to a larger pump due to some water conditions around my property as I was not overly impressed with its performance. The larger pump I converted to was faster (more volume) but proved to be problematic and was taking more time to repair/restart/redo that this pump did working without fail.So, moved back to this pump and I upgraded to a 1 ½” clear plastic hose from the ¾” garden hose that I started with and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of water that small pump will move. And it has not failed a single time throughout its many uses these past months. Being electric there is no gas and oil to deal with and at less than 9lbs, I don’t have to get a farm vehicle to move around. It also starts right up no matter how cold or hot it is. I have even used it in remote areas that do not have power by using a small generator. The head pressure is very good even when lifting water a considerable height.My only [small] complaint is that this unit is designed for clean water transfer and will clog easily if debris such as leaves are introduced to the suction intake, so I do not consider this pump appropriate for anything other than “clean” water. In other words, it is not a mini trash pump ;-)In summary, I am very glad that I gave this pump a second chance as it has performed very well and continues to make some of my least favorite jobs easier.Five stars for me

The compact footprint of this pump worked well to drop it into a water softener tank that needed to be flushed and cleaned. Most water softeners do not have a good way to drain the tank if you need to scrub it out and they are too deep to reach into - this was a good solution that fit the compact space it needed to drop down into.We allowed the salt to be fully consumed, then filled the salt tank 1/3 full with a garden hose, turned this on discharging to the same drain as the brine gets sent during a recharge, and then sprayed it out vigorously to get the salt tank clean while the sump pump continuously removed the water for us.Not your typical application, but definitely handy to have around. The only part that was challenging was that it sometimes took 15-30 seconds of tilting the pump around before it would prime and start pulling water - but once it did, it was very fast.

It seems to be well made. I plan to use to empty the spa in order to thoroughly clean the bottom of a spa.
