The ring holder itself is fine and what I expected for the price, but I did expect it to slot into the bench pin as shown and the bench pin is too wide to hold and secure it it as pictured. If you're looking for a meh workholder and a bonus unrelated interestingly shaped bench pin, this is it.

Holding a ring clamp and sanding can hurt the wrists, at least for me. I found this extremely helpful. I also purchased a bench pin holder that would take this. The bench holder had two screws so I went ahead and drilled in two holes in the bench pin in this one so I could add it when needed. I didn't like the idea of having to take the time to switch yet the time it saved me because it was more secure helps.

03/21/2016 update: Just about two years later, this ring clamp is still going strong. I can't believe I haven't broken it yet.As my vision deteriorates, I still use it to hold my wire work, and I also use it when I'm working on a tiny part that I could easily drop and lose. It takes a couple of seconds more to put a part in this than it does to pick it up with pliers, but it saves me a ton of time that I used to spend searching with a flashlight. It still holds securely without damaging my work, it still looks amusing, and I am still thrilled that I finally bought this.Original review 04/11/2016: I've been using this for wire work, and this clamp is exactly what I needed. It holds even the thinnest gauge wire that I use securely, without damaging or marking the metal. It stands up to more pulling and twisting than a ring clamp was probably intended for. The bench pin (when I use it) is very convenient. And the shape of the clamp has definitely livened up conversation around here.Either I got lucky with a good clamp, or Eurotool has solved the problems that other reviewers have had. The wood is sanded smooth on all sides, and the wedge is exactly right. The only way this could be better is if I had gotten it sooner.

just as advertised... solid mahogany, works well. for a less expensive tool, it's nice... I'm not a professional, so I cannot vouch for it under constant use, but as a hobbyist it's a great buy.
