Description could be better, this device is the learning remote. The due to the description it led me to believe this is for all fans made by kichler that had a remote design. After searching I needed the 337009 remote that is the one with the 4 dip switches. This one is a learning remote for some Kichler products. I hope this helps someone from having to wait on a long turnaround for a return and refund.

I almost returned it until I found the hard to find poring instructions. Also you have to press buttons a long time for action.

Long story short…we had no wall switch for our old fan. You would turn in on by chain only. So, when new fan was installed we couldn’t turn it on. Buying this remote saved us! Works perfectly.

It just doesn’t work very well. You have to push the buttons several times to get it to do what you want. Don’t. Just don’t.

Kichler makes high-quality products. The issues I have with this item are not related to the quality of the product.Issue one: this item is not fully described in the product details. Most crucially, the MODEL of the remote is not specified! For the record, it is Model TR250B; it is the type of remote that has a "learn" button. This remote is NOT COMPATIBLE with the 4-pin remote (Model UC7260T).Second issue: no instructions on how to install the wall mount are included. It's not rocket science, but it would have been nice. I made the mistake of assuming the two hole covers were the same, and they are NOT. (And getting the one out after putting it in the wrong place was not pretty.)Third issue: Taking the remote in and out of the wall bracket is not all that convenient. But if you are leaving it in there, it looks and works great.
