I ordered this solder in error - thought I was ordering 97% Sn / 3% Ag. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the 60% Sn / 40% Pb. I didn't think you could buy it anymore, and I had been saving the last of a spool of 60/40 for some difficult application. Needless to say, I am excited to be reunited with my old friend. It was truly a pleasure to use it. It melts so easily and flows beautifully - even more so because it's a high-quality Kester product (worth the extra money). It reminds me of just how much I hate the 97Sn/Ag3 stuff, although this solder certainly has its applications when hardness and resistance to softening/melting are important.Thank you, Kester, for supplying us old-schoolers with the products we love! :-)

We needed a lower melt temp solder for art projects. My daughter is using it to join steel horse shoe nails to make christmas ornaments. Works great. Flows out well and has a good strong bond. Little pricey but it works!
