The washer that comes with it sucks but I bought a pack of hose washers at ACE Hardware and they fit in there perfect. Good quality, glad I bought it.

My transfer pump has garden hose threads and I bought a Harbor Freight suction hose to use with it. That had 1" NPT threading. This is the thing that connects the two.It seems to work just fine. I like that it's brass and I like that the GHT side spins; makes it a little easier to work with. Not much more to say than that, it's just a connector!

I used this to connect a small-diameter sewer snake that was made to connect to a pressure washer. However, with this hose bib—1/4" female connector—I was able to use a garden hose. The pressure was plenty good enough to unblock the line. The only problem is these are two piece assemblies which is fine but the washer OD is too small and does not hold the two brass parts together. It is a minor annoyance to be honest. The parts are machined well.

Doesn’t work to go to 1/4 inch fridge line. Need a different adapter as this is not the correct thread or size.

The first one leaked badly, spraying water all over the place. When I removed it I noticed it was cracked on the inside. I honestly don't know if it came that way, or if I cracked it while tightening, but if I caused the crack, it's not very well made. I tried to use the other one but couldn't get it to seal completely. I tried various amounts of teflon tape, less tight, more tight, could NOT get a good seal (and I've used NPT fittings many times without issue, both water and air fittings). The leak was on the NPT side (paired with a good quality SharkBite fitting). I gave up and used a different fitting, found one that allowed me to go directly from 3/4" PEX to female GHT, which worked perfectly and doesn't leak a drop.
