I should have read the other reviews. This does not fit a tenor mouthpiece - or at least it does not fit mine. Not even close. I'm still giving it 3 stars because MAYBE it fits a smaller mouthpiece. Regardless, the quality seems good.

As others have said, this ligature is clearly sized for an alto sax. It did not fit my Tenor mouthpiece

When I got the mouthpiece immediately I could tell something wasn't right because it seemed really small, and compared it to my regular ligature that I've had for years and it seemed more narrow. I then tried to fully open it up to fit on my mouth piece but it didn't fit and just left a bunch of scratches.... Thought I'd try to test the waters by buying a cheap ligature, but unfortunately, I got bit. Probably best to just spend more and buy from a trustable brand if you're looking for a new nice ligature.

This fits alto sax hard rubber mouthpieces, not tenor sax. It also has sharp edges that can scratch your mouthpiece, so be very careful if you decide to get this.

I ordered it to use on my hard rubber tenor sax mouthpiece and when I got it it was an alto ligature and didn’t fit the mouthpiece. It’s a good mouthpiece but was way too small for a tenor mouthpiece I already needed a much smaller ligature to fit.

I received this today and gave it a try this evening. I tried it on an Otto Link Tone Edge 7 hard rubber tenor MP with a Legere American Cut 2.0 reed. The lig centered right up and was easy to adjust the reed and lock onto the MP. I like this one much better than a more expensive pleather lig that I have.

I purchased this tenor saxophone hard rubber mouthpiece ligature as an inexpensive backup to my more expensive name brand ligature which will be left unnamed. I think this lig is of better quality and actually fits my mouthpieces better with absolutely so difference in sound. I personally think that expensive ligatures are mostly overrated so take my opinion for what it is worth to you.
