I recommend this item. However please read to save money and for tips to make things easier. This item is perfect for replacing or adding decor to your garage door. The holes on the garage door matched up exactly to the holes on the item. However, in my situation, the actual screws for hinges were larger than the holes on the garage door. Not a problem if you don't mind a little more effort when screwing into your door. The durability of the item is very good.Tip: if you are replacing your old decorative hardware for new hardware, you may only need handles. Your old decorative rusty hinges can be flipped over and there's a good possibility they look as new. You can also use your old screws with the new hardware if the new screws are too large for the door's old screw holes.

I am so pleased with this purchase! We just had our house painted and the garage needed something. These faux hinges were exactly what it needed to add some character and to break up the white of the house. They are very sturdy and easy to install. Highly recommend.

All six pieces of this kit; 4 hinges and 2 handles, were of the highest quality and had a great rough, not smooth, black finish. They look very authentic and were easy to install; a tape measure to make sure each piece was installed at the same level as it's counterpart, a drill to make a hole the the very study screws that came in the kit, and a screwdriver to tighten up the screws. The entire install took less that 30 minutes and the results look great. There is nothing about this product that isn't the highest quality. I could not be more pleased and I am rarely this blown away by a mail-order (no hands on evaluation beforehand) purchase.

My old hinges were faded by the sun. I am not much of a painter so these hinges worked perfectly for me. Reasonably priced, unscrew the old, screw in the new. Much easier for me than painting.
