These bench dog clamps are very nice as well as being extremely useful. I like to call these linear benchtop clamps, as compared to the overhead bench, dog clamps of which I have a number. These linear kinds of clamps are particularly nice for doing sanding jobs where you want to get the whole top surface without having to move a clamp. You can use these in one of two ways: you can fix them to your benchtop by their screw-on bottom, or you could use them the way a bench dog works by putting them in the hole and letting tension do the work for you of keeping in place. I have found that for projects where I’m doing a lot of pieces of wood and moving them in and out on a regular basis, fixing the clamps with the screw in bottom (a permanent fixing) is the way to go. If I’m simply doing a few small projects or projects where I’m going to have to move the clamps a lot I simply use them without the bottom screw in part as if they were bench dogs. These clamps hold very tightly and are easy to adjust as needed when they are fixed with the screw-in bottom. I have found they don’t move at all, nor is there any wiggle in them. I do recommend you use these in pairs for maximum stability; this is what I have found to work best. The clamps are easy to open and close allowing for quick change outs of work pieces.A major complaint is that I have to get under my bench to fasten the clamp with the screw-in anchor. While this is not a big problem for me, if I did not have access, or limited access to the underside of my work table it would be. A final concern I have about these clamps is that they look to be composed of a lot of hard plastic and how they’re going to hold up to a lot of use is an unknown. So far, they have been great.Overall, these clamps are a great deal. I recommend getting a set.

Very well packaged and a great build quality however you need to actually connect these from beneath the bench and screw them in which I thought was a bit of a bad idea when you should be able to drop it in from the top.So for that reason I returned these unused

I liked the product I received, however I cannot use it as designed. The top of my workbench measures 5 cm and the tightening nuts have a length that does not correspond to my bench. Nowhere do they specify that the thickness of the lid has a limit of 2cm. What could I do, thank you

These clamps are for a Bora Centipede table that I have. The item listing says that the clamps are to suit 19mm minimum thickness of table. The Bora is 18mm but these still fit perfectly. To clamp the piece you move the movable jaw by hand up to the piece to be clamped and then rotate the lever 90 degrees. It is quick and easy to use. Downside of these is that you must have space on table to rotate lever. If positioned side by side, the lever dictates how close they can be positioned together. I have not found this to be a major problem.Thought about the type that uses a ratcheting spanner on the clamping screw but felt they would be too slow in operation.

These are made of plastic and don’t have a solid clamping feel to them…fixture rises up under force.
