The hinges are well-made, and do exactly what they are supposed to do. They can turn a tight squeeze for a wheelchair into a much easier stress-free passageway.

Bought these bcuz my husband uses a walker & wheelchair. They open up enuf to give you added space thru your doorways. Did it myself, lady in my 70’s, have to be mindful to get them in the right way, but easy enuf. Gives ability to stay in our home at a reasonable price. Worth the price.

I bought a brass and a bronze version of the expandable door hinges. Quite frankly, if you don't require the brass, and can do with the bronze offering, you will save a lot of money. (Bronze is $17 and comes with free Prime shipping.)In any case, these expandable door hinges save your life when you are in a walker or wheelchair at home. The extra space you pick up makes life so much easier. Getting in and out of the bathroom is now possible without drama or worry. This is also a very caregiver friendly addition. It makes their jobs a LOT easier when they can easily push a wheelchair through a doorway.
