I tried another product that did not extend to fit the window box but this item met my needs and it was extendable

Adjustable for different sizes depending on how you put it together which the included instructions weren't very clear about, came back to the listing to see the one piece was able to be turned for a smaller size. One bracket is slightly off kilter but it still works.I like the mushroom style.

These are nice and sturdy and adjustable. We have placed them on a wood railing with a 2x4 top beam, and it works well. I like that I can place them the width apart I desire, versus planters with their own hangers that are fixed. I will likely be buying one or two more sets. You could use these also to hang lights if you wanted, for example solar lanterns.Recommended.

This arrived as a set of two and seems to be on the pricey side, but it is heavy duty and very well made. The paint is thick and smooth. The mushrooms are part of the bracket and equally thick. There is nothing flimsy about this set of brackets. The thumb screws are painted black and gives this set of brackets a much more refined look. Assembly is easy and the I love that it's adjustable and accommodates even wide width rails. If you're looking for premium brackets, this is it. Recommend.

These planter hangers are thick powder coated metal. They look great and were made to last. Assembly was easy and there are several points to adjust the size so that it fits over my extra wide railing (9"), accommodates almost every size of flower box (mine is 7" deep), and there is a piece underneath that leans up against the railing pieces underneath to prevent the hanger and flower box from rotating down and underneath the railing. I really love it. Just ordered another.

Finally - a planter box bracket that will fit on railings wider than 6 inches! We had a new deck installed and the builder gave us wider railings that we could use as shelves. Although technically made from 2x8 lumber, the railings are actually 7.25 inches wide - a quarter of an inch wider than the widest bracket I've been able to find until now. These are fiddly with a lot of bits and pieces, but I have found most of these brackets are like that. I'm just glad these work and I can get my terra cotta boxes out for spring. The brackets are quite heavy and very solidly built, so they will take a lot of weight. I've found that clamp-on brackets tend to sag after a while, but this hanging system is more balanced. It also gives you more options if you want to use deeper planter boxes with the little mushroom ends. I definitely recommend!

QUALITY: these things are STURDY. Should be able to support the VAST amount of planter beds anyone can throw at them.ASSEMBLY: cumbersome. Definitely not the most user-friendly or seamless design. Now, ideally you only assemble it once and then you may adjust from there, but if you had to assemble and take these down with any frequency you should probably look at alternative products.ADJUSTMENTS: as above, it's quite cumbersome to work with wing nuts and screws that need to pass through 3 very sturdy metal pieces, each with different access holes and construction. I would be super annoyed if I didn't start out by comparing the minimum and max widths from the very beginning to see what I was working with (see photos).OVERALL: I'd give this a 6/10 and I can neither recommend nor advise against this item. the sturdiness and durability are canceled out by the unnecessarily cumbersome and rickety nature of the assembly.
