I like the overall look of these planter baskets; my main issue is how they attach to the railing. The type of deck railing I have doesn't fit properly (which surprised me that they don't fit correctly). The baskets lean at an angle due to how they are attached; ultimately, they are held together by a zip tie. I am concerned the metal frame will scratch and damage the railing.

Excellent product. Easy to install, with plenty of options. Drains water well and keeps moisture and soil contained. Beware of high winds though as the coconut part can come clean off as it is not secured to the basket.

This planter is very sturdy and has lots of room for flowers or herbs. Adds a nice touch to your decor. It is made of heavy duty material and should hold up to the the elements. Assembly was very easy and it is adjustable to fit on your wood deck or iron railings.

Not a huge fan of this for this price point. Firstly, when you put the two main pieces together... the middle section does not screw tight to the back screws so its wobbly. It also doesn't fit properly over a standard railing, even at the smallest setting its too big and just flops forward. Comes with screws to screw directly into wall which would work better but not an option for my needs. The design looks nice and its rather large so will hold a lot of flowers. Will be using zip-ties to make this work but probably would have went with a different option if i bought this in-store.

I have been using freestanding pots sitting on the railing of our deck for the past few years, and one of the pots took an unfortunate nose dive last year, crashing to the patio below it. (No one was hurt except the pot) So this year I'm planning to use planter boxes, which I should have done all along. I found this Riare 24 Inch Window Deck Railing Flower Box and I love the design in the metal and the overall look of it. I didn't realize that it doesn't come as one piece - you have to put it together, but it was fairly simple no thanks to the instructions. Just make sure you use all of the parts. There was a small bend in one of the brackets, but i was able to bend it back in place. As others have mentioned, the liner isn't shaped perfectly when you get it but that's the nature of this type of material. After you soak it, it molds to the box perfectly. Overall, this is decent quality, the coating seems solid and it should hold up well in the weather, and it looks great in the end. I took off one star because it has enough little things that could be resolved by the manufacturer before shipping. Overall, good quality and a good value for the price.
