Works as it should and great install options. Mounted this to my submersible pump for my pool and it shut off with an inch of water left with me babysitting it. Good stuff.

Float switches come in different configurations to meet the needs of pedestal mount or fully submersible pumps. Regardless of which type you have, I can almost guarantee you, should it fail, it’s going to be after the stores have closed. That’s why I’ve chosen to keep this general purpose float switch as a backup. What’s nice about this float switch is regardless of your sump pump float switch design, this switch will work as it only requires you to plug the pump into the switch. This makes it a truly universal sump pump float switch. The product itself seems well made. For the most part it’s all plastic minus the cord and internal switch. A plastic nut/washer allows you to adjust how frequently it will cycle. You'll need to play around with it until you find what works best for you. It comes with a ten foot cord which works for my setup. The online description states that the switch is rated for a maximum of ten amps, so you might want to take a look at your pump's power requirements before purchasing. This float switch can be used as a permanent or temporary solution. It can also be used for applications other than sump pump basins, such as rain barrels or any container that needs to be emptied automatically. There are no instructions or technical data included with this switch. I also don't believe that there are any serviceable parts on this product. Its durability is going to depend a lot on how frequently the pump cycles, in my case it's every thirty minutes, 24/7.In all this switch appears to be well made and functions as described in the online description. I hope to never need it, but it's comforting knowing it's there if I do.

I live in an area with a high groundwater level, so if my sump pump fails, my basement can flood, definitely a headache! To avoid this, I needed a backup solution. This vertical float switch turned any submersible pump into an automatic sump pump, eliminating the need for two bulky sump pumps in a single pit. It saves space and ensures safety. What I LikeSpace-Saving Vertical Design – Compared to traditional float switches, this vertical design takes up less space, making it perfect for small sump pits or tight areas.Plug-and-Play 120V Plug – No complicated wiring, just plug it in and go.10-Foot Power Cord – Long enough for flexible placement and easy connection to a power outlet.Durable Build – Made from high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring long-lasting performance.Versatile Use – Works with sewage pumps, drain pumps, and sump pits in various settings.Installation was super easy,I just placed the float switch vertically in the sump pit and plugged it into the outlet. As soon as the water level rose, the float switch automatically activated the pump, draining the water quickly and efficiently.During testing, it worked flawlessly with no failures. This completely solved my basement water backup issue, giving me peace of mind knowing I have a reliable solution in place.

With this, a regular utility pump can be used in an automatic sump pump application. It was easy to install, doesn't take up much space, and functions perfectly. I'd say it's a good value, especially since it enabled me to use a utility pump I already had on hand from a swimming pool we no longer have. If anything, it would be nice if it had optional pieces to add more length to the float rod.

Very easy to attach to a pump or to any size PVC pipe. The automatic switch turns on and off the pump based on water height. Protects the pump from burning up when water levels fall below the point set by the float. Float moves freely and does not stick. Variety of hardware included to attached to any pump or pipe.

It works but they sent me a used or returned pump switch. No instruction, wrapping and scratching all over.
