Easy Installation
This part is easy to install. Tips for replacing your ice maker:
- Turn off power and water: Unplug the refrigerator or turn off the circuit breaker, and turn off the water supply
- Remove the front cover: Use tape to secure the flipper cover on the left wall in front of the ice maker
- Remove other parts: Take off the wire harness cover and the ice maker itself
- Attach the new mounting plate: Attach the mounting plate to the new ice maker assembly
- Plug in and slide: Plug in the wire harness and slide the ice maker assembly onto the mounting rails
- Reassemble: Replace the wire harness cover and reattach the front cover
- Turn power and water back on: Restore water and electricity to the refrigerator

Make sure it is compatible with your current freezer model, and if you do you can save hundreds of dollars doing this yourself rather than paying someone. Replacing the icemaker may seem difficult; but going step-by-step it is actually rather simple. There are very good YouTube videos on how to replace this exact model that are very helpful.

Easy installation. Installed in early November and has failed already. It’s now Jan 5th. I guess you get what you pay for.

This Ice Maker was the right fit for my KitchenAid refrigerator. It is making ice just like the original. It was easy to install and is a great value. Just ask any repairman how much he would charge to replace it for you, and you'll see why I say this is a great value.

Purchased this unit months ago, easy to replace, still working great. Before cubes were always hanging up on the old unit, once I took it out I realized cube tray had gotten corroded, which was why the cubes were hanging up. After replacement it rarely happens.

Installed easily, exact fit and produces ice faster than the one it replaced. At a fraction of the price of OEM, this unit is great value. Better instructions would have helped but YouTube fixed that. Hopefully it lasts.
