Applicable materials
- Recommended for drilling all tiles, marble, artificial stone and granite.
- Not recommended for hard concrete, especially reinforced concrete. Use to drill holes in excessively hard materials will result in rapid diamond removal and a shortened service life.
Serrated special bits
Greatly improve the sharpness and drilling speed; Multiple chip removal grooves between the teeth for quick removal of dust during drilling.
Aperture for removal of chips
Good for reducing drilling resistance; Facilitates the entry of cooling water and the escape of drilling chips, making the drilling process smoother.
5/8-11" Thread
Fit 5/8" arbor standard grinder.
Diameter below 4 inch: Recommend RPM: 6000. Max RPM: 11000;
Diameter over 4 inch: Recommend RPM: 3000. Max RPM: 6000.
Vacuum Brazed Technology
High quality diamond grain are firmly brazed on the matrix, which provide longer life and high efficiency.
Need additional adapters if you use them on hand drill or light hammer drill
- If you install it on a hand drill or other machines, you need an adapter, such as SDS-Plus, Hex or Round plus shank adapters.
- If you are using this core drill bit on a hand drill, make sure the speed is higher than 2000 RPM. Typical hand drills are 2000-5000 RPM. Within this range, the faster the drill speed, the longer it will last. So we don't recommend for a cordless drill. The lithium drill has a lower RPM, about 1000 RPM.
- Do not use impact or hammer mode.

Not sure what happened. I thought I was ordering a 10 piece drill set but ended up with this 4" diamond hole saw instead. I needed to drill some 4 inch holes in porcelain tile so I kept it.This hole saw is well made and good quality. It works best when attached to an angle grinder. The bit tends to wander a lot when first cutting so it's best if you can make a jig or drilling template first for accuracy. The bit itself does a pretty good job. It gets hot so proper cooling is necessary to maintain the cutting teeth and longevity. Cutting into porcelain tile we pretty easy, I imagine marble, granite or quartz might be a bit more challenging.Overall I'm happy with this hold saw. So far I've drilled 3 holes with no issues and the bit still looks good.

The bits I received fit directly to my angle grinder and I had absolutely zero issues boring holes into stone. Tried it out on a piece of scrap tile and it made short work of it. Love that it fit directly to my angle grinder and I didn't need any type of adapter. Keep in mind you need to have something that goes over 20,000 RPM like a corded drill for this to work properly. I took the advice of a friend and stuffed a wet piece of sponge in the hollow shank and that worked amazingly well.Definitely a lot easier than trying to muscle a masonry bit through!

The DT-Diatool Diamond Core Hole Saw with 5/8"-11 is a handy brick, concrete, tile, and countertop accessory to have in your tool kit. I ordered the 1-1/4" size hole saw as this will cover many different tasks for my work applications.This diamond core hole saw fits perfectly onto all of my angle grinders.Arbor adaptors are made so that you can use this on a standard drill, but DT-Diatool recommends that your drill have a minimum speed rating to be 2,000 RPMs in order to prevent this hole saw from experiencing premature wear.I insert a piece of sponge inside of the hole saw and soak it in water prior to drilling any type of material.This helps to keep the hole saw cool, while also preventing a lot of air-borne dust.I recommend the DT-Diatool Diamond Core Hole Saw with 5/8"-11 arbor in whichever size you need to complete your task.
