Now you can practice with some of our most popular knife designs in relative safety - with our rubber training knives! Each trainer has been carefully fashioned to look as realistic as possible so they can be effectively used in solo practice, training drills, disarm drills, and demonstrations and any other activity where you want a reasonably close approximation of realism but not the extreme danger and risk associated with an actual knife.

As former military, I like to continue practicing my skills and teaching others. This high quality training aid works perfectly for that. Tough, durable, a tiny bit flexible, and blunted, it's everything I've come to expect from Cold Steel. I also give them as gifts!

My little brother is obsessed with knives, so I chose to buy him this to feed his addiction. (He can’t have a real knife.. he is 9)He loved it, so I loved it.Our German Shepherd used it as a chewing toy and it held up very well, so its sturdy.

It's an effective trainer for about 60% of the purpose, but a rubber knife would be far better to avoid injury in practicing defense against stabbing attacks. I may cut some pipe insulation and pad the edges/tip for that purpose. It shouldn't be titled a rubber knife if it's not.

My kids love to swordplay and every toy sword bought for them broke within a couple of days. These are a bit shorter, but they are well made and balanced. The kids love them and duel on endlessly without failure. Just remember to be strict with rules of proper sword play at home; only swords touch no attacks at person unless both are wearing approved protective gear.

I purchased mine for both training use and as a prop for filming. I hope to find some ways to give it that proper metallic look for filming use down the road. Perfectly balanced, solid grip, solid feel. This is NOT some floppy rubber thing, it is far more like hard plastic. About the only way I can see getting injured by this thing is if someone were to get stabbed in the eye with it. The edge is good for simulating training, but pretty much impossible to get hurt with. The weight and balance of this thing is such that you can easily forget you're holding a training aid if you're not looking directly at it. Great job. Would love to see even more models available. ( I have two different models at the moment)

When I ordered this knife, I was assuming from the price that it was on the smaller side, a bit bigger than a pocket knife. When I received it, it became obvious immediately that I was wrong. It is about the size of larger k-bar knives. To me that is a good thing as training with a longer knife on defensive knife handling techniques will help remind me not to get too close to the blade in a real life scenario. The con to this knife however is that fact that there isn't any rubber on this knife at all. It is a flexible plastic and not very flexible at that so be warned. simulated slashes and stabs will be felt considerably. Other than it's texture, the knife is sturdy, likely to be able to take abuse and wear and tear, and does what you would expect from a training knife so I would still recommend it for those looking for training tools on the cheaper side.
