HOW TO USE
This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.
As long as the fan has the receiver in it this remote will work with your harbor breeze ceiling fans.
Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).
Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) with a pen.
Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.

I'm sure this would have been great, but I had to return it because the remote I was replacing didn't have the DIP switches, even though it otherwise looked identical - so there was no way to match the frequency. I cycled through all of the options on this remote but it never connected to the ceiling fan. Had to return.

The remote for my 40 year old Hampton Bay fan/light would no longer shut off. I was apprehensive about finding a replacement and needing to play around with the fan itself. This was probably the least expensive universal remote that I say. More importantly, I got it to work in less than 5 minutes. All I had to do is flip one of the settings inside the new remote to match the old one and insert a battery.
