Bought it to use with a sat phone my brother had. Was simple and easy to setup. Price was equal or better that most others and the shipping was included when theirs was not.

Found out I didn't activate it in time. You apparently only have a year. Read the fine print! They said there was nothing they could do for me. I wasted $100! Told them they need to highlight that section of the fine print. I wonder how many other people have been ripped off this way.

SIM card came as advertised!!! Got on the website bought the 52$ plan and got it activated did the test call for Iriduim sat service number and it was Successful !!! So basically bought the sim here thinking it will be activated with out plan I was wrong !! You must purchase plan in order to register the Sim card and get it connected to the satellite!What I like about the 52$ plan that is incoming calls and texts are free which is amazing deal !!!Activating is easy just to to bluecosmo website enter the 18/19 sim serial number purchase plan and will be activated within minutes!!Make sure antenna is extended in clear view of sky and you got the go in minutes I’m using Motorola Iriduim 9505

Read the reviews and was a little worried. Am travelling to New Zealand for three weeks in remote regions and have an Iridium Sat phone but my SIM was long inactive. Phoned my old provider who wanted a minimum 12 month contract at £650 per annum calls not included. Looked online and found various options but went with the BlueCsomo as it was flexible. SIM turned up in 24 hours (not bad given that I live in a VERY remote part of Scotland). Website is not great, but not bad. Needed to input SIM number (not a problem as its on the card) but also the order number from amazon which seemed odd, but did work after retrieving it from Amazon. Although the website says you will get an e-mail once activated I have yet to receive one, but the SIM does work as I have phoned myself with no problems. Thats the only reason I am not ecstatic - if I didn't have the time to test it Id be worried. Not yet in NZ but all seems to be working ok! At the price its a steal.

We use these cards in our SAT phone while our boat is offshore. We need to use these cards 1-2 times each year. This is the third card we've purchased through Amazon. Rates are competitive. I do wish they offered a 60 minute card. A lot of the purchased minutes get wasted as they are 30 day cards.

Once i came to grips with the cost of satellite phone air time, i found blue cosmo to offer the best value, it arrived promptly through prime, activation was almost instant and fairly easy, i was glad they included a dialing guide, i prefer iridium for my part of the world as signal acquisition is fast and reliable, exactly the two reasons i needed a satellite phone.

okay I discovered Blue Cosmo absolutely has fantastic customer service. It's been a long time since I have seen such good customer service (and they respond to emails and phone calls super fast with GOOD English !!! :)I bought their service because I was going to Kiritimati (Christmas) Island for a fly fishing trip. I wanted to be able to communicate with my family via satellite phone. The day before we left Hawaii, I applied to additional time on the Sat phone so I would have plenty of time to talk when I was there...We called BlueCosmo support and they took care of our requests immediately. Seriously...I was very impressed.

If you need a Iridium prepaid card for summer (or any other time of year) adventures in Canada/Alaska, definitely buy this one instead of the global card and save a huge amount of money. That is the only reason I even keep a sat phone, but I was not aware of this plan before. And definitely keep away from the mom-and-pop 'satellite phone stores'. I have tried a whole lot of them and have been ripped off *every single time*.Also, keep in mind that sat phones are illegal or need special permission to carry in many countries, especially developing countries, so if you are heading out of North America, you may want to check the local regulations before taking your sat phone there.
