A minimum of two vents are required per container for temperature & moisture control in temperate climates. Four vents per container are suggested in tropical climates. For HAZMAT ventilation, two vents installed high and two vents installed low is suggested. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure OSHA compliance when storing hazardous materials.

When a combination of variables create an environment prone to humidity, condensation will happen.

Some of these variables include:

► Humidity

► Interior temperature

► Exterior temperature

► Wind direction

► Wind speed

► Foundation

► Adequate airflow under the container

► Direct sunlight to roof

► Direct sunlight to walls/doors

► Type of contents stored

► The volume of contents stored inside

► Color of container (specifically the roof)

► Number of stock vents in the container

Very expensive for what you get. Insides are plastic and would expect some kind of flange on the top and bottom

This is the second set of these vents I have installed in my 20' sea crates. In the three years I have used the first crate, the temperature inside has never been a problem. This spring I got a second sea crate and immediately noticed that it was way warmer inside that my first one. I ordered the same vents and installed them today, a sunny warm day. Immediate difference inside. The temperature moderated fairly quickly. These are pretty expensive but are worth it. They are shipped quickly, are well packaged and have very good installation instructions.

These are a little pricey, but work great. We build a few of our own, then found these. They same so much time for us and easy to install. They are great quality. Happy with our purchase.

I have several seacans so ran an experiment - installed a pair of spinning whirlybird type roof vents on one and these on another (one on either side, staggered top and bottom as recommended). I then installed three cheap digital humidity/temp meters inside each can and a couple outside (thanks, Amazon). Although they’re not quite as exciting to watch as the whirlybirds, these vents did a way better job of providing consistent humidity and temps throughout the can, and the humidity levels inside were more closely aligned with external humidity levels (hopefully no more seacan rain). These vents most definitely work as promised.

Fast shipping, well package, clear instructions. You can also look at video website/YouTube. Measure twice and cut once. Used friends Ryobi 18v cordless angle grinder done ok with this steel. Measure the vent it's slightly bigger than template that comes with instructions. Had no problems with rivots. Did break a cheap bit so get quality bit. Mine didn't come with bug screen. Other than that just the price is major con for me.

These large vents were just what I needed for my 20ft container to allow better air flow.Easy to install, fit great and seal very well. Good quality and very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this product.

Most important, you don't need the bug screen and the extra cost they charge is WAY to much. You should not need it but if you do add screen, you can get a small section of screen from the big box store and tape or glue it into the inside for just a few bucks and 5 minutes. They otherwise install just fine, as long as your cuts in the container are good (im not so good at that part, but it's easily fixable). Only real criticism is that they are overpriced, IMHO. The main advantage they have here is that you don't need to fashion otherwise cheaper alternatives to fit in the cut out. These do allow for a fair amount of ventilation and it's noticeable. I am in North Texas where it's near 100 degrees during the day and these help a LOT. Still Hot, but better than the literal baking before. If you're lazy (like me), these are great. If you are more resourceful, there are far cheaper options from the big box store.

Installed both of these down low towards the back of the 40' container. With the doors open, I can absolutely tell a huge difference in ventilation. Soon I will install a rooftop solar fan and not need to open the doors. The construction of these vents is top notch and with a little caulk to seal everything up, they should be good for a very long time. If you are going to use the pop rivets, which is recommended, get yourself a pop rivet tool that chucks in a drill. I have a high quality handheld tool, good grip strength, and it was very difficult. So get a good pop rivet tool.

Product looks like its built to last. Installed past weekend and looks good. But I have a 40' high cube and I don't thinks 2 is enough, as there was still an odor when I first opened doors the following day. Was hoping to get away with just the 2 vents because of the high price of units, but may have to order 2 more.

These are great little vents and fairly easy to install. The hardware was great and easy enough. I went the extra step and sealed the robots and edges once installed to ensure an even better seal. I put one at the top on either end, opposite sides of my container hoping for some airflow, no luck unfortunately.I think though they might be a little too small for my 20’ container as it still gets a lot of moisture and still isn’t venting well enough even with the container in a fairly shaded area with minimal moisture. Might have to go to a roof vent or something for mine.
